Stories of the Soul

By Lynda Wisdo

While I can remember many bizarre and difficult dreams from my childhood, it wasn't until a dream I had in my mid-thirties that I began to become aware of the message that was being revealed to me in my dreams.  That first dream seemed simple enough.  In it, I was in the kitchen of my childhood home, trying to shut the back door.  With all my might I struggled but no matter how hard I tried, I still couldn't get the door shut and all I could see on the other side of it was a terrifying darkness.  As I was waking up from this dream, I could hear myself crying out, "Get off of me, Dad!"

Art of the Dream

By Henry Reed

As a graduate student at U.C.L.A., I began to record my dreams. At the same time I began some doodles of some faces. When I left U.C.L.A. and moved to the East Coast to begin teaching at Princeton, I continued my doodles. I added color markers. Then a woman friend gave me a set of pocket water colors. This present opened up a whole new world. But it was a bit scary, too. I couldn't control the colors at all. They were a bit outside my comfort zone. But then, as I began to experiment with them, I had some dreams.

Metaphysical Realities in Management

By M.B. Sharan

How is it that mathematicians, working purely intuitively within the subjectivity of their own minds can develop mathematical systems that later prove to be perfectly analogous to patterns in material nature? How is it that Edgar Cayce, who was relatively uneducated, could, from a deep intuitive trance, describe the molecular activities in the human body that provided the link between mental events and hormonal ones, processes that took decades of later medical research to discover and confirm his insights?

The Divining Hand
By Christopher Bird

To dowse is to search with the aid of a handheld instrument such as a forked stick or a bob on the end of a string -- for anything: subterranean water flowing in a narrow underground fissure, a pool of oil or a vein of mineral ore, a buried sewer pipe or electrical cable, a lost wallet or dog, a missing person, or a buried treasure. Throughout history, men and women characterized as diviners, dowsers, soothsayers, seers, mystics, mediums, clairvoyants, shaman, witch doctors, wizards & etc., have developed and practiced arts regarded as divine or demonic and are able to answer questions that logical reason could not provide.

The Right Brain Business Plan

By Jennifer Lee

The left-brain analytical skills that used to get people ahead in the knowledge economy are no longer enough. In the creative economy, right-brain skills like big picture thinking, play, emotional intelligence, and design help us innovate and give us a competitive advantage. The Right-Brain Business Plan helps creative entrepreneurs leverage their natural creative genius to succeed in the new economy.  It invites business owners to think visually, to imagine and play, to connect emotionally with their company and customers, and to have fun making a living doing what they love.

Gods of the Runes

By Frank Joseph

The earliest runic inscriptions found on artifacts give the name of either the craftsman or the proprietor, or, sometimes, remain a linguistic mystery. Due to this, it is possible that the early runes were not so much used as a simple writing system, but rather as magical signs to be used for charms. Although some say the runes were used for divination, there is no direct evidence to suggest they were ever used in this way. The name rune itself, taken to mean "secret, something hidden", seems to indicate that knowledge of the runes was originally considered esoteric, or restricted to an elite.

Tasting the Universe
By Maureen Seaburg

Doug Coupland sneezed out a tumor and suddenly the world went technicolor; David Chalmers woke one day at age 20 and discovered he no longer had colored music. Both men, modern geniuses, think life is better with synesthesia than without and are the rare examples of people who know life both ways. Research published in 1995 about whether synesthesia can be acquired and concluded that through meditation, one can experience it. A top Tibetan lama reports that the ancestors of Tibetans, the "humans of the North" of legend, could all see sound.

Testimony of Light
By Helen Greaves
Book Talk by Gayl Woityra

There should be no fear of death, for the death of the body is but a gentle passing to a much freer life. All Life is lived as a serial, that we go from one experience of living to another experience of living at a different rate, i.e., on a higher level of awareness. Much of what we thought praiseworthy on earth is mediocre to us in the Light of wider knowledge, and conversely much for which we blamed ourselves and were blamed by others, is viewed here from a wider angle and even becomes merit!
