Frederick the Butterfly was a Grateful Bug!

While mom and the kids were at the beach, they saw a butterfly that was about to be drowned in a wave. Acting quickly, mom rescued the creature. She and the kids agreed to name it Frederick. Later Frederick came back to thank them, which provides the miracle in this heart-warming story.

This small children’s book, Frederick the Butterfly, authored by Karen Smythe, of Malibu, along with her wonderful illustrations on each and every page, recently won the children’s NON-fiction category of the fourth annual Beverly Hills Book Award.

A special feature of this book is that it contains a link whereby you can download an audio version of the text. Using this feature, you can listen to the story while looking at the pictures.

The surprising lesson in this TRUE-STORY is that bugs may have feelings, just as we do.
